Fun May!

Jacob had a music program and an academic award ceremony, he started baseball, and Emrick had a dance recital. I started a job jar with the kids for daily chores. Jacob had his last day as a first grader, we went to lunch on the lawn at his school. I had a gestational diabetes screening for baby Carson. And we had Mops park days. Starting last week Burger's work schedule got all crazy and he has been working weird hours. That one's not so much fun, but we're dealing with it. For June we have a couple of really fun weekends planned. First with my mom and the kids and next for Burger and me.It has been really rainy and flooding but we are getting outside when we can! :-) Hope your May was as fun as ours!

Oh, hello again!

Hello! We have been busy busy people lately. I helped with the Mops garage sale in the end of April. We are gearing up for Emrick's dance recital, there will be a special dad and daughter dance. That's at the end of May. The same time t-ball and a-ball start for the kids! I'm busy growing a special baby person :-) He is moving a lot now, at 25 weeks. His movements are big and somewhat uncomfortable! 

We were walking around Lowes the other day and I happened to see out of the corner of my eye, this color of paint that really struck me as absolutely perfect for our kitchen. So we bought some and are painting the kitchen and updating the cabinet handles and hinges. We are also planning a bathroom remodel. We could use some luck with that one! So, that's what we've been up to lately. I'm sure there's a lot more... Will try to up date more often! 

It's a boy!

On Wednesday, my dad watched Jacob and Emrick while Burger and I went to my 20 week appointment and ultrasound. Baby looks good and healthy and we found out we will have another BOY! We stopped at the bakery on the way home and had them write, 'It's a boy!' On a chocolate chocolate cake to surprise the kids. Jacob and Emrick are both very excited to be having a new brother! Carson feels like the right name, there is no middle name yet. ;-)

Good News!

The best news is that I'm back in the blog world. ;-) The even better news is that we are expecting a baby! The due date is August 20, 2013. The same due date that we had with Jacob! Everyone is very excited. Burger, Emrick, and I went to my 12 week appointment this morning and got to hear the heart beat. Healthy and strong! I have been suffering from extreme fatigue. EXTREME. And there have been several occasions where I have asked Burger to make me something specific for dinner, and once it was ready to eat, I couldn't stomach it. Poor Burger. But he's a trooper and takes the best care of me. :-) 

Hockey!

Jacob loves hockey and is excited to go every single time! We all love to go, watching the kids skate is hilarious! Enjoy! Jacob is the guy in the dark helmet and socks, with the number 11 on his back. Hard to spot but worth it! 

Busy but Fun!

 Emrick's dance class had a family visit day. So my parents, burger, Jacob, and I got to stay in and watch along with all the other kids' families! Emrick did great and loved it, until the last 10 minutes. When she didn't love it anymore. She came and sat down, refusing to dance. Who can blame her? I mean, what is she a trained monkey or something?! The recital should go fantastic!

After hockey last Sunday, we went to the pumpkin farm! It's the first time Burger's ever been able to go with us, and we had a great time even though it was freezing and windy. Burger felt sick after jumping on the bounce pillow. We went through the haunted corn maze twice. Burger carried Jacob through the kid's haunted house, Emrick refused to go anywhere near it! We posed for pictures with the funny cutouts, petted some farm animals, Jacob and Burger got to shoot the Punkinator! We also went on a hay ride. It was pretty worth the $40 it cost to get in...

Family Pictures!

I found this photographer advertising on this facebook group that I buy/sell stuff on. Christina Sents, I sent her a facebook message and booked a family photo session. And I love all of them! She did an amazing job even when my kids were less than ideal! There are several more pictures I would love to share. And I might, someday... :) But for now, here's your blog sneak peak! 

Jacob's hockey is going fantastic! He loves it, and even after only 2 practices, is showing so much improvement. I think we might be in for the long haul with hockey! I am trying to decide if I want to sign him up for the extra Saturday practice. He says yes...
